On January 27, experts from Georgia, Moldova, Czech Republic and the Baltic met to map out the problems existing in Moldova and Georgia regarding the growing illiberal and anti-Western movemenents, sentiments, and propaganda.
The meeting as run according SWOT analysis in order to identify the key strengths and weaknesses of the target country’s information environment, name the key threats and list the opportunities for improvement. The focus was to identify and name the narratives used to hamper the European integration and to promote illiberal values and to determine the external and internal actors spreading these narratives. The experts name the opportunities the government, mass media outlets, regulatory bodies and the civic society can use to limit the anti-European propaganda.
As a result a educational seminar programme was developed to be carried out in the target countries.
